Definitions |
| a
|
The "customer" is the person hiring the caravan
and any equipment for the duration of the hire period. |
| b
|
The "company" is J & G Caravans. |
| c
|
The "caravan" is the caravan including all its
equipment and all other equipment hired with it. |
| d
|
The "hire period" is the period of time the
company agrees to hire the caravan to the customer.

|
2
The Customer |
| a
|
The customer must be the person to whom the
towing vehicle is registered. (unless agreed
otherwise by the company) |
| b
|
The customer must be aged 25 or over, and if
towing the caravan, have held a full
UK
driving licence for a minimum of 5 years with a maximum of 3 penalty
points for non serious offences. |

|

The Company |
| a
|
The company reserve the right to refuse a booking or cancel a
booking without giving a reason. |
| b
|
The company reserve the right to change a caravan or the price
at any time. |
| c
|
The company will do its utmost to supply the caravan the
customer has booked and make it available at the start of the hire
period but makes no guarantee to its availability and is not
responsible for any costs whatsoever and however incurred if the
caravan is unavailable. |

Deposit & Payment |
| a
|
The customer shall pay a deposit of £200 per caravan
(per week). £50
(per week) when making a booking,
(see 6a cancellation) and the balance no less than 90 days
prior to the hire period. The £200 deposit
(see 6a cancellation) is refundable 14
days after the end of the hire period if the caravan and all its
equipment and all extra hired equipment is returned on time, clean
and undamaged otherwise costs will be taken from the deposit. |

The balance of the hire charge will be payable at least 60 days
before the start of the hire period. If payments are not received
when due the company reserves the right to cancel the booking and
retain the £50 deposit. It is advisable that the customer arrange
their own cancellation insurance. |

Hire Period |
| a
|
The hire period shall start at 15.00hrs and finish by 11.00hrs
on the agreed dates unless agreed otherwise with the company. |
| b
|
A fee of £10 per hour will be charged after the hire period
until the caravan is returned to the company. |
| c
|
If a caravan is booked and delivered to a local site for the
customer the hire period shall start when the caravan leaves the
company's premises. If the caravan has to be collected from the site
the hire period shall end when the caravan is back on the company's
premises, an extra charge of £1 per towed mile will be made for this
service. |

Cancellation |
| a
|
The customer may cancel an agreement and have a full refund,
less a £50 administration fee, if the cancellation is made more than
30 days prior to the start of the hire period, after which a refund
will only be made if the company can re-hire the caravan. It is
advisable that the hirer take out holiday cancellation insurance. |

Customers
towing vehicle |
| a
|
The customer's towing vehicle must be in good condition, fully
insured, taxed, and have a valid mot certificate throughout the hire
period. The vehicle must have a 50mm tow bar and standard 7pin
trailer electrics. |

|
The customer must ensure that the towing vehicle is suitable to
tow the caravan. |
| c
|
The driver of the towing vehicle must be aged 25 or over and
have held a full UK licence for a minimum of 5 years with a maximum
of 3 penalty points for non serious offences. |

|

Collection of the caravan |
| a
|
The customer must produce the following original current
documents when collecting the caravan.(1) Certificate of insurance
(2) Current MOT certificate for the towing vehicle (3) driving
licence of the person driving the towing vehicle (4) Utility bill
dated within the last 3 months from the address of the hirer. |

|
The customer must arrange to have a legal rear number plate made
with the same registration as the towing vehicle which must be
fitted to the rear of the caravan at the start of the hire period. |
| c
|
The customer and driver of the towing vehicle shall permit the
company to take a photograph for our records. |
| d
|
Failure to do any of the above, or if the towing vehicle is
deemed to be un-roadworthy, or the tow bar or
electrics are deemed to be unsafe, the company is entitled to
cancel the hire, and all monies paid will be forfeited to the
company. |

|
If due to unforeseen circumstances the caravan is not available,
the company reserve the right to substitute the caravan or issue a
full refund to the hirer. |

|
9
Smoking & pets |
| a
|
The company runs a no smoking policy in the caravan and in the
awnings, therefore the hirer must not and must not allow anyone to
smoke in the caravan and awnings. |
| b
|
Pets must not be allowed on the beds or seats and must never be
left unattended. The hirer will pay for any damage caused by any
pets. |
| c
|
An additional cleaning charge of £15 may be levied
for pets.
|
| |
|
|

Customers liability |
| a
|
The customer is fully responsible for the caravan and all its
equipment and all extra hired equipment from the start of the hire
period to the time it is returned to the company. |
| b
|
The customer must inform the company immediately if there is any
damage caused to the caravan or any of the equipment or if there is
a delay in returning the caravan to the company. |
| c
|
In the case of a road traffic accident where any damage is
caused, the customer is responsible for the first £300, and must
give the company all the details required to make a claim on the
insurance company. |
| d
|
The customer must be aware of, and keep within, all maximum
speed limits. |
| e
|
The customer must fix a hitch lock and wheel
clamp, as supplied by the company, to the caravan whenever the
caravan is left unattended.
|
| f
|
The customer is liable for all costs for any
damage or losses to the caravan or its equipment.
|
| g
|
The customer will not hire or lend or create a lien on the
caravan for any reason whatsoever. |
| h
|
The customer will not take the caravan outside of the UK
without express permission from the company and must provide details
of emergency breakdown assistance cover which includes recovery of
the car and caravan to the company's premises. Any costs for any
breakdown and/or repair outside of the
UK
is the responsibility of the hirer. |

|
The company will supply all caravans with
roadworthy tyres plus a spare. Should a tyre become un-roadworthy
during the hire period the customer will be responsible for
any charges for the repair or fitting of the spare and any other
replacement.

The customer will not allow the caravan to
be towed by anyone other than those named on the hire agreement |

|
The customer must not commission any repairs or
modifications to the caravan without prior agreement from the
company.
|
| l
|
The toilet must be left clean and empty or a
charge of £50 will be levied.
|
| m |
The customer will provide a legal rear number plate with the
same registration as the towing vehicle and ensure it is fitted to
the caravan. |
| n |
The customer must ensure that the site and pitch is on hard and
level standing. If this is not the case the customer will be liable
for any damage
caused whilst trying to level the caravan. If any assistance of any
kind is needed to deliver, site, or collect the caravan, the cost of
any damage caused to the caravan or towing vehicle will be charged
to the Customer. |

The customer must ensure the caravan is suitable for the purpose it
is hired for. |

Company liability |
| a
|
The company shall have no liability in respect of any damage to
the customers property in respect of that which the customer can
claim from his insurers. |
| b
|
The company shall have no liability whatsoever to
the customer for any consequential or indirect losses and/or
expenses incurred by the hirer arising out of the companies breach
of contract.
